My top priorities as your elected representative
Reproductive Health Freedom
Half our state had a fundamental right stolen with the Dobbs v Jackson Women's Health. I will fight to ensure the privacy protections and freedoms established under Roe v. Wade are enacted in Wyoming.
Healthcare
I strongly believe Wyoming needs to expand Medicaid, which would provide insurance for 20,000 uninsured Wyoming residents, including our most vulnerable populations: children, senior citizens, and veterans.
Over the past few years in Cheyenne, I have also worked diligently to improve mental health care. I have voted to increase funding for mental health care, especially for at-risk youth, and have worked to secure more state funding for suicide prevention programs.
The Economy
I have been working on legislation with my colleagues in Cheyenne to restructure our property tax. One important proposal that I support is capping tax assessment increases at 10% per year. The balance would roll over and not be due until the property is transferred/sold.
Public Lands and Conservation
We need a global strategy for state school land parcels. School sections are a promise to Wyoming’s school-age children. These sections must be optimized to generate revenue for Wyoming schools. Understanding the tremendous revenue challenges the state is facing, we must balance school parcel usage while working to keep public lands open and accessible to all.
